A 5-step method for figuring out and getting over whatever is in your way

If you continue to set beautiful goals for yourself (finally start your space-themed beaded bag Etsy store, become the girl that lifts heavy every day, embody Marie Kondo and declutter the heeeeck out of your home), but those beautiful goals seem to elude you, the "Yes, But..." Method is for you.

The “Yes, But...” Method assumes that for every “yes” you hold that seems to go unattained, there is almost always a “but” that’s standing in your way. It will help you to find and dissolve your "buts".

What's Included?

The "Yes, But..." Guidebook

A 22-page guidebook that lays out exactly how to use the "Yes, But..." Method. Read through it to learn how the method works, what to do if it doesn't work, and how to "do" each step.

The "Yes, But..." Workbook

Use the 6-page workbook when you just want to dive into using the method. It has enough instruction to make using the method feel easy, but not so much information that you feel overwhelmed if you're not interested in the nitty-gritty or you're time-poor.

The "Yes, But..." Reference Sheets

Use this 2-page printout alongside your own journal to go through the "Yes, But" Method at your own pace.  It has the essential steps, prompts and examples to help you move through the "Yes, But..." method.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I complete this on a desktop / laptop?

Sadly, this workbook isn't designed to be completed on a desktop computer at this stage, as it doesn't have interactive text boxes. Instead, we suggest an app like GoodNotes using a tablet or printing it out and filling it in by hand.

I have The Life Map, is this any different?

This is more like an add-on to The Life Map. Whip this out when you're self-sabotaging or your goals just don't seem to be working, and you can't seem to figure out why. There'll be some overlap concept-wise, but this is a fun, freeing and unique approach.

I'm an Intention member, do I buy this?

Please don't!! You get free access bb. Save me the admin of a refund!

What size is the PDF?

A4-sized. Most printers can print letter and A4 sizes, but double-check yours to be sure!

How can I complete it on my tablet?

Try the Goodnotes or Adobe Reader apps (Goodnotes is my fave).

Can I use this on my phone?

I wish you could, buut she isn’t really designed for a screen as small as your phone. It’s better suited for print or a tablet.

How will this be delivered?

You’ll get a link to download the .ZIP file in your inbox!

What is the "Yes, But..." Method?

For every “yes” that you hold (e.g. Yes - I want to start budgeting, Yes - I want to get organised, Yes - I want to learn Spanish) that you keep on saying that you want, but don’t seem to be able to actually make happen, there is almost always an unaddressed, often unacknowledged “but” that’s standing in your way.

For example:

➔ Yes, I want to budget, BUT I don’t want to stop enjoying my life.

➔ Yes, I want to eat a healthier diet, BUT I don’t want to think about food 24/7.

➔ Yes, I want to tidy consistently, BUT I don’t want to spend the whole weekend cleaning my house.

The “Yes, But...” Method is a 5-step process designed to make finding your "buts" easier, and dissolving them feel possible.

This method is for you if...

💫 You can reflect, imagine or visualise.  Think: If I read fiction, do I struggle to feel in response to my imagination? If I'm asked to "revisit a memory" can I do that if needed? This isn't strictly needed, but it will help.

💫 You’re open to the idea that sometimes you need emotional buy-in when it comes to your goals vs another step-by-step plan.

💫 You are able to notice your thoughts and feelings with relative ease. Think: If I sit in silence, do I find it easy to notice thoughts and feelings as they pass?

It might not be for you if...

❌ You can't notice your thoughts and feelings just yet. If you’d like to develop this ability, I’d recommend starting with Dan Siegel’s Wheel of Awareness practice.

❌ You find achieving goals pretty easy and don't usually have much "inner conflict" when it comes to your goals. Girl, this isn't for you!! Live your beautiful life!
