Can you relate?


  • You've tried productivity hacks. You're familiar with things like the Pomodoro Technique and the Eissenhower Matrix. Lack of knowledge about "how to get things done" isn't really something you need help with at this point.

  • You're a thinker AKA you tend to think and analyse feelings of procrastination, demotivation and resistance that you feel.

One of the biggest mistakes that I made when I wanted to "improve my productivity” was teaching myself to push through feelings of resistance, procrastination and demotivation.


I tried to get a lot of things done with heavy accountability or by tricking myself into starting with a little “I’ll ONLY work on it for five minutes”… (which often turned into me, pushing myself to keep going well beyond five minutes and chipping away at my self-trust).


This approach ... kind of worked? As far as systems go, it broke down a lot, but it got me by. Until, after an intense period of my life, I hit a wall.


Finally, I was kinda forced to realised that I didn’t need to “work on my productivity”. I needed to work on my relationship with feelings of resistance, demotivation and procrastination. I needed to work on my self-trust. This was the most important shift I made in my journey.


When I stopped focusing on pushing myself to get things done with productivity hacks and external accountability and I started to do the inner work to focus on these two things, my approach to my daily to-do list slowly began to do a 180. Eventually, getting things done felt kinda fun again.


Productivity stopped feeling so... complicated. 


Resistance, procrastination and demotivation still come up. To this day, we hang out. They just don't pop by quite as much. I know how to handle them in a way that feels natural - and doesn't casually make things worse.
